**Position:** Captain/Fisherman

**Yacht:** 70' Sportfishing Yacht

**Location:** Hobe Sound (9 months), Cape Cod (3 months)

**Requirements:**
- Must be an American Green Card holder
- Experience as a Captain and fisherman
- Familiarity with fishing in the Bahamas and surrounding areas
- Ability to handle a 70' sportfishing yacht
- Strong knowledge of various fishing techniques and equipment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to live ashore while the boat is in Hobe Sound and provided accommodations in Cape Cod

**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced Captain/Fisherman for a 70' sportfishing yacht based in Hobe Sound for 9 months of the year with trips to the Bahamas and surrounding areas. Summers (3 months) are spent in Cape Cod.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Safely operate and navigate the yacht during fishing trips and excursions
- Plan and execute fishing trips for the owner and his family, targeting various species including tuna, sailfish, and blue marlin
- Utilize knowledge of fishing grounds and techniques to maximize catch success
- Maintain the yacht in excellent condition, including regular maintenance and cleaning
- Provide excellent guest service to the owner and his family, ensuring a memorable fishing experience
- Manage crew members and delegate tasks effectively
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
- Coordinate with owners and crew to plan and execute trips to the Bahamas and other destinations

**Additional Information:**

This is a live-ashore position while the boat is in Hobe Sound, with accommodations provided in Cape Cod during the summer months. The owner and his family are passionate about fishing and enjoy spending time on the water, targeting various species. Salary will be based on experience.
