2nd Engineer

**Job Title:** Rotational 2nd Engineer

**Vessel:** Busy Charter/Private Motor Yacht

**Location:** Based in New Zealand or Australia (Right to work in Australia required)

**Start Date:** Second week of June

**Rotation:** 2 months on / 2 months off

**Salary:** Dependent on Experience (DOE)

**Requirements:**
- Minimum EOOW (Engine Officer of the Watch) certification
- Strong background in Audio Visual (AV) and Information Technology (IT)
- High computer literacy
- Yard experience is a bonus
- Must be based in New Zealand or Australia and eligible to work in Australia

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a qualified and experienced 2nd Engineer for a busy charter/private motor yacht. The ideal candidate will have a minimum EOOW certification and a robust background in AV/IT systems. High computer literacy is essential for this role. The yacht is currently mid-way through a refit, so previous yard experience will be advantageous.

The position requires a rotational schedule of 2 months on and 2 months off, offering a balanced work-life rotation. The vessel spends summers in Australia and winters in the South Pacific, providing a dynamic and varied working environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the management and maintenance of all engineering systems onboard
- Oversee and support AV/IT systems and ensure their smooth operation
- Participate in the ongoing refit project, contributing technical expertise as needed
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure efficient and safe vessel operations
- Adapt to the varying demands of charter and private use, maintaining high standards of service
