Head of Housekeeping

### Job Advertisement: Flexible Senior/Head Housekeeper - Knightsbridge, London

#### Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and flexible Senior/Head Housekeeper for a luxurious multi-floor apartment in Knightsbridge, London. The role involves ensuring the safe-keeping and smooth running of a private family's residence, working as part of a team of four under the house manager. This position can be either live-in or live-out, with overnight stays required when the principals are in residence.

#### Schedule:
- **When Not in Residence:** 9-5, Monday to Friday
- **When in Residence:** Morning shift (9-5) or evening shift (1-9), shared between housekeepers with some weekend work on a rota basis
- **Accommodation:** Private studio accommodation provided if live-in; live-out option available with overnight stays as needed
- **Start Date:** ASAP
- **Salary:** £45,000 - £50,000 gross per annum

#### Essential Requirements:
- Flexibility and excellent spoken English
- Previous experience in UHNW private residence, boutique/5* hotel, or yachting
- Great attention to detail
- Good leadership and communication skills

#### General Duties:
- Collaborate with the house manager to ensure the property is always in top condition, clean, safe, and secure
- Monitor junior housekeepers to maintain the highest level of order
- Strong communication skills for liaising with house manager, staff, VIP guests, and residents
- Respond to guest requests such as ordering taxis, running errands, and organizing dry-cleaning
- Cleaning of antiques, fine china, silverware, and other delicate items
- Perform various cleaning tasks, including laundry, windows, floor treatments, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and care of upholstery, fabric, glass, and leather
- Regular deep cleaning of bathrooms/kitchens and maintenance tasks like preventing limescale build-up and running taps regularly to keep water pipes fresh
- Liaise with the house manager regarding maintenance issues and oversee contractors working on the property
- Familiarize and confidently manage fire systems, alarm systems, and AV systems

#### Duties When the Family is in Residence:
- Lead the team of housekeepers and temporary staff to deliver excellent service
- Maintain all areas of the house, including turn up and turn down services, as well as clients' personal staff areas
- Ensure laundry is done to clients' preferences, using preferred products and separating client/staff laundry
- Adhere to a dress code when the client is in residence and ensure staff are also presentable

#### Additional Information:
- Simple uniform of trousers and polo shirt provided
- Two days off per week
