Chief Engineer

**Position:** Rotational Chief Engineer (Y3)

**Yacht:** 40m Recently Launched Motor Yacht

**Start Date:** 04 July 2024

**Schedule:** Mediterranean – Singapore – Worldwide

**Job Description:**

Our client is seeking a competent Chief Engineer with AV/IT skills for their 40m newly launched motor yacht, delivered in February 2024. The yacht is managed by a smaller management company and boasts a lovely owner who is enthusiastic about this well-funded vessel.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee the engineering operations onboard the yacht
- Maintain and repair all machinery and systems to ensure smooth operation
- Manage AV/IT systems onboard
- Coordinate with the captain and crew to ensure the safety and comfort of guests
- Provide technical support during family-oriented trips
- Collaborate with the management company for support and financial matters
- Prepare the yacht for warranty work during yard periods
- Plan and execute maintenance and repair schedules
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers as needed

**Requirements for Application:**
- Y3 license
- New build experience, preferably with warranty experience
- Experience with Benetti yachts is highly desirable
- Strong AV/IT experience
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

**Package:**
- Salary: 9000 / 10000 EUR per month
- Rotation: 10 weeks on, 10 weeks off

**Additional Information:**

The yacht is currently based in the Mediterranean until late August when it will undergo any necessary warranty work in Italy. Afterward, it will be shipped to Singapore, which will become its home base for future adventures. The yacht will be used for family-oriented trips, with plans for an adventurous worldwide cruising schedule.
