Chief Engineer

**Position:** Chief Engineer (Y3)

**Yacht:** 44m Motor Yacht (Brand New)

**Start Date:** ASAP

**Contract:** Permanent (non-rotational)

**Salary:** 7500 euros per month

**Accommodation:** Own cabin

**Job Description:**

We are currently seeking a Chief Engineer (Y3) to join a brand new 44m motor yacht as soon as possible. This is a full-time position with a permanent contract, and the vessel plans to spend the summer in the Mediterranean followed by a winter warranty period also in the Mediterranean. In 2025, the yacht will transition to Asia. This role will suit someone stepping up to their first Chief Engineer position.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee all engineering operations onboard
- Ensure the proper maintenance and functioning of all machinery and systems
- Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts and engineering supplies
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Mentor and train junior engineering crew members
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the engine room and engineering spaces
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities

**Requirements:**
- Y3 Chief Engineer certification or equivalent
- Previous experience on yachts preferred
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and itineraries
- Shared cabin accommodation
