Chief Engineer

**Position:** Chief Engineer  
**Yacht:** 60+ m Motor Yacht  
**Contract:** Temporary Relief (Approximately 45 days)  
**Salary:** EUR (DOE - Please include salary expectations in the cover letter)  
**Leave:** 2.5 days/month consolidated in the salary

**Description:**  
We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a 60+ m motor yacht on a temporary relief contract of approximately 45 days. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and operating all mechanical and electrical systems on board, ensuring the smooth operation of the vessel during the cruising itinerary in Qatar, the Maldives, and the Seychelles.

**Responsibilities:**
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all engineering systems on board.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the vessel's systems are in optimal condition.
- Manage the engineering department, including any subordinate engineers and technical crew.
- Ensure compliance with all maritime safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain detailed logs and records of all engineering activities.
- Collaborate with the Captain and other department heads to ensure smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.

**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Chief Engineer on yachts 60+ meters.
- Valid STCW certification and seagoing medical certificate.
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Availability for a temporary contract starting soon.
