Chief Officer/1st Mate

**Position:** Mate  
**Vessel:** 45m+ Motorsailer (Private)  
**Start Date:** As soon as possible  
**Location:** Central Mediterranean for summer 2024, then likely Palma for refit over 2024/2025  
**Salary:** Depending on Experience  
**Leave:** 32 days per annum

**Description:**
DNCA Recruitment is seeking a Mate for a 45m+ private motorsailer. The ideal candidate should hold an OOW qualification with a minimum of 4 seasons on board similar-sized yachts. They should possess a hands-on attitude and be willing to become an invaluable part of the team.

**Requirements:**
- OOW qualification required.
- Minimum of 4 seasons of experience on similar-sized yachts.
- Good command of the English language.
- Proactive work ethic and a sense of humor.
- Preferably 8 months+ remaining on certificates and documents.
- B1B2 visa is a benefit but not a requirement.

**Responsibilities:**
- Assist the Captain in the overall management of the vessel.
- Supervise deck operations, including mooring, anchoring, and tender handling.
- Maintain safety and security protocols.
- Oversee maintenance of deck equipment and systems.
- Manage inventory of deck supplies and equipment.
- Assist in guest activities and water sports as needed.
- Participate in navigational watches as required.
