Chief Officer/1st Mate

**Position:** First Officer  
**Yacht:** 40m Motor Yacht - Private  
**Location:** South Florida

**License Required:** YM +  

**Job Description:**  
We are currently seeking a First Officer to join a prestigious 40m Private Motor Yacht based in South Florida. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years' experience as Chief Officer aboard similar-sized vessels. The yacht will remain in South Florida for the near future, completing a large yard period, with no travel planned for the next few months. This position is ideal for someone local who would like to go home.

**Requirements:**  
- STCW Certification + Refresher  
- ENG1 Medical Certificate or current fit-for-duty marine medical (valid for 6 months)  
- B1B2 Visa or equivalent (valid for 1 year)  
- Strong deck maintenance experience  
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate the team  
- Flexibility and adaptability  
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic  
- Hands-on approach to work  

**Job Specifics:**  
- The vessel will remain in South Florida for the near future  
- No travel planned for the next few months  

**Salary Range:**  
- Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience
