Chief Officer/1st Mate

**Position:** Chief Officer  
**Yacht:** 40m+ Motor Yacht  
**Location:** USA / Florida  
**Start Date:** End of May  
**Contract:** Permanent  
**Salary:** $7,500 per month  
**Visa:** B1/B2 or Green Card  

**Description:**  
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chief Officer to join a 40m+ motor yacht. The yacht is currently in the shipyard for maintenance and will be docked in Fort Lauderdale for the summer. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary.

**Responsibilities:**
- Oversee the deck department, ensuring all maintenance and operations are conducted to the highest standards.
- Assist the Captain with navigation and vessel operations.
- Ensure compliance with maritime safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage safety drills and crew training.
- Supervise the deck crew and coordinate their duties.
- Maintain detailed logs and reports.
- Assist with guest services and activities as required.
- Oversee inventory and procurement of deck supplies and equipment.

**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Chief Officer or similar role on yachts of similar size.
- Valid B1/B2 visa or Green Card.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Proficient in navigation and seamanship.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
